HOW TO PUT THE CAPTIONS ON THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS:

You will need an extension. I recommend both Substital and Open Subtitles (the add-on, not the site), which are both availabile for Firefox and Chrome.

Both allow you to upload a srt file from your computer and will overlay the captions over the Youtube video. The major difference between the two is just UI, so choose which you like best.

((Open Subtitles is meant to search the site of the same name for subtitles to use, but this doesn't work with Youtube videos very well. You'll just have to upload from file.))

FIREFOX:

CHROME:

"I DON'T USE EITHER OF THOSE"

  • good luck out there. surely you can search by the same name.

ACTUALLY I HAVE ALL OF STMB DOWNLOADED

Cool! Make sure the srt file matches the name of the video file (whether you have to rename it or not), and VLC, my video player of choice, will automatically add the subtitles to the video. That's it!

"I tried that but it didn't work....?" IDK look in settings somewhere.

"I don't use VLC" well poke around your preferred media player's settings. That's all I've got for you.
